PowerSchool --Parent Information PDF Print E-mail
Technology and Media - Learning with Technology
Written by Julie Lund

Each parent/guardian may log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal (https://n-mahaska.powerschool.com/) with your own single account and see all students for whom you have legal and parental rights to view.  Parents and guardians already have Access IDs and Access Passwords you have been using for your student's information.

The logins you enter for your students are case sensitive. Make sure you use capitals as in this example:
Access ID(student name):  DoeJane     Access PW:  1111
Relationship means your relationship to the child. Likely it will be Father or Mother.

Please click here for a 2-page .pdf file with more detail on creating your account.

Have you been receiving automated reports
via email from PowerSchool?

If you were signed up previously,
but have not been receiving those email notices,

we encourage you to follow the directions above
to setup the Parent Access.

PowerSchool now requires you to have that Parent Access Account to receive emailings.

Please click here to download a .pdf instruction sheet for your setup of PowerSchool email notifications.

You will create your own Parent id and password and then enter each login for your child.

Thereafter, you will just have to login with one account and will be able to see the other students as tab buttons to view.
Your children in grades 5-12 received information on their new Student Login that they should now be using to view just their own grades.  • Do not attempt to use that student login to setup the single sign-on - it won't work.

Pearson has released Free iPhone/iPad apps for Parents and Students - available from Apps store.

Two new apps are now available in the Apple iTunes® App Store: PowerSchool for Parents and PowerSchool for Students.
These new apps will allow parents and students to access all the same information you would normally access from a browser, but with the ease and convenience of an app installed on your Apple mobile device. Facebook and Twitter integration, automatic login, a family overview, simplified "one-thumb" browsing, and other features make accessing PowerSchool on the go faster and easier than ever before.

Version 1.0 of the apps will be supported on any Apple iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad running iOS version 4.0 or higher.
Note to Parents
- Make sure you have your single sign-on account setup before you access the app. When you start up the app, it will ask for nearby schools - choose North Mahaska Community Schools.

Pearosn is working on Android for the parent and student apps and expect to have them done in time for the start of the next school year.
